All Day Tripper - Venue Change - Free Camping for all!

Well then, things have been a little hectic on the All Day Tripper front this week. We had a late night phone call from the previous venue so tell us that unfortunately due to licensing restrictions we would be unable to use it. That was a bit of a blow I can tell you. However in just 24 hours we have secured a new venue and to be honest a better set-up for you to enjoy your day in the sun with us.

We are now using the Ex-Serviceman's Club in the idyllic village of Roade in Northamptonshire. It's just 5 minutes from the M1 and we can defiantly now offer you FREE CAMPING and an extension on the bar. How cool is that.

All Day Tripper - Live Music and Fashion in the English Countryside

The event starts at 2pm on Sunday 30th May and will continue until we get kicked out of the idlylic village of Moulton in Northamptonshire.

Yum Yum - The Lost Soul Night: Summer Sabatical

Due to our heavy summer shedule and this years World Cup fixtures we have decided to cancell Yum Yum dates for May, June, July and August. However we will be back on schedule for our future Yum Yum events come September.

The Buzz in the Basement (Brighton Beach Leicester) 2010

Since the end of last year, and the change in rooms at Leicester University, the event has turned a corner. Before we were all a little unimpressed by the long corridor room that was just a walkway between the main hall, smoking area and the toilets. It did feel a little like trying to run a night in Tesco's.
Now we are in The Basement, and it works! It's now like being in some smoky 60's underground club with psychedelic decor, cinematic images and a much improved sound system.
DJ wise things have also changed. CJ now lives in Poole and unfortunately the trip up to Leicester is a little too far even for him. Joining me for future events are my old Mod mucker Karl Flavell and the lovely Liz De Hevenigham from Leicester's Lava Lounge Club. The usual cool vibes will be spun from those rare 45 rpm platters with the occasional twist.
So don't forget that we are on the 1st Saturday of the month, every month @ Brighton Beach, Leicester University.

We first got involved with this little project way back in 2008 and to be honest things were looking a little dodgy about it getting a cinema release as things seem to have gone quiet. However this has just been posted on YouTube (with the original SouledOut working title) so I can only presume something is going to happen.
Anyway take a peek at this trailer and get in to the spirit of things.
It will be interesting to see what some of the old Wigan Casino faces make of it all ;0)

Yum Yum - Sweet & Sticky Soul Night. Now on Saturdays!

Well here we are 1 year in with our new venue, The Picturedrome and things couldn't be sweeter.
Firmly established now as one of the country's finest monthly up-front rare soul events and with a regular crowd of dedicated dancers and guest DJ's, we aim to keep on going.
Now we have moved to a regular Saturday night slot this will hopefully stop all the grumbling we kept getting about it being on a Friday night "cause we got to work tomorrow"
